In this setup which is styled as a fleamarket, my work is awkwardly hidden behind the ugly but immensely popular Phillips Senso coffeemachine (1),  a white A’dammer roll-down shutter closet (2) by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar (1944 – 2010) for Pastoe, and much other stuff.

On the bright side, at least it’s shown next to a classic Boulevard of Broken Dreams poster (4) by Marten Jongema (1951 – 2011), and Richard Niessen‘s outstanding Kong poster (3).

Jongema was one of my teachers at the Rietveld Academie. My friend Richard and me were once a design team called Golden Masters, and Van den Nieuwelaar I once met late at night in the middle of a snowstorm on the last train going to Amsterdam …
