De Noord/Zuidlijn stations krijgen steeds meer vorm en dat betekent ook dat de kunstwerken ontwikkeld gaan worden. Dit vraagt om een nauwe samenwerking tussen de aannemer van de stations en de kunstenaars. Hoe gaat dit in zijn werk? Wij volgen de kunstenaars in hun proces van idee tot werkelijkheid. Deze week interviewen we Harmen Liemburg, verantwoordelijk voor de kunst bij station Noord.

Wie denkt dat de Noord/Zuidlijn alleen maar ellende met zich meebrengt, heeft het mis. Slechts voor de prijs van een metrokaartje kun je over twee jaar namelijk een heleboel kunst bekijken.
Nooit eerder maakte hij een kunstwerk van 130 bij 17 meter. Maar kunstenaar Harmen Liemburg (1966) heeft het ontwerp bijna af. Op een lang stuk papier ligt het op de vloer van zijn studio. Dit is een schaalversie van wat de tegelvloer in metrostation Noord moet worden, de meest noordelijke halte van de Noord/Zuidlijn.
