Super Swinging Swirls

...........................................................................................

After previous collaborations for the TTT publication and the exhibition in Het Domein
in 2001, and at Watou Poetry Festival in 2002, artist Jennifer Tee asked me to join the team
to make a groupshow at the Van Abbemuseum.

Show Nameless Swirls, An Unfolding In Presence
A collaboration of Jennifer Tee with Erwan Maheo, Roy Cerpac & Harmen Liemburg
Curated by Phillip van den Bossche
Period September 12 - November 23 2003.

Location Van Abbemuseum Eindhoven
...........................................................................................

For the first room (The Lovegarden) we made a huge fan of 4 x 8 meters) that could open
and close during special performances. The print is made from a two-sides Buddha-face,
combined with elemnets from nature. After construction, green felt leaves were added.

In the fourth room, we wanted to create a desert-like atmosphere. Printed sheets of
paper were sewn together like parts of a bedouin tent, and used to create a new space
inside the museum. While walking through the new 'corridors', the camel could be observed
through the cuts that were made in the paper.

Pieter Alewijns of gallery Peninsula invited us to do a special edition print at
Atelier Daglicht, an artist workspace dedicated to large scale prints.

This 'Alchemy' composition was made by combining elements from all parts of the show:

Printed in two kinds of black, white satin and silver.
