A 'Graphic Score'
This opera was never actually 'composed' by Haendel himself. It was complied after his
death from bits and pieces taken from his other work. The Goldenmasters wanted the score to
generate its own graphics through a 'matrix' in which instruments, time and tone were
translated into visuals. Every seprate 'aria' thus created it's own graphic. By using the
printing budget in a smart way, a variety of flyers and programme covers could be produced.
