Copper Cutie

Moving across a concrete cycling path, Hoge Veluwe National Park, the Netherlands.

The Anguis fragilis, or slow worm (hazelworm) is a common sighting in this neck of the woods. It’s not a snake, but a legless lizard. They like to warm themselves on the surface of concrete or asphalt roads. This copper cutie was ‘stimulated’ to get off the path and live instead of being run over by less observant cyclists…

Into Het Wild

You don’t have to go all the way to Alaska per se to have an adventure. A place called Het Wild or ‘t Wild can be found right in the middle of the Netherlands!
